It has served an extremely loyal readership for 40 years and has built the reputation of being a trustworthy, reliable supplier of news about the products and technology needed by photonics engineers. Four decades of service to the industry have created uniquely strong links with the European photonics community and a widely recognised brand. The magazine was acquired by CPL's science publishing sister company, Europa Science Ltd at the beginning of 2003, and has been upgraded, expanded, and editorially strengthened. CPL is responsible for sub-editing, design, production and distribution of the title.
