Office of the Public Guardian
The Office of the Public Guardian is an executive agency of the Ministry of Justice. Its purpose is to protect people who lack the mental capacity to make important decisions about their health, welfare and finances, as well as to empower individuals to plan for the future. As part of this, it administers enduring and lasting powers of attorney and works closely with the Court of Protection.
In 2008, CPL won a tender to write and design the OPG’s first ever annual report and accounts. Our brief was to create a publication that was markedly different from the traditional style of government reports, and this was achieved by using a fresh and colourful design with an emphasis on well-presented case studies and plentiful pictures of people. We have since completed a second annual report for the OPG.
