Cheers is the employee magazine for Molson Coors (UK) Brewers, which produces leading brands like Carling, Grolsch and Coors Light. We have written and produced the Coors magazine for many years and in 2008, following a major redesign led by CPL in 2007, Cheers won a Sword of Excellence in the highly-respected Communicators in Business Awards.
The judges awarded Cheers five out of five, praising its design: "The cover has great appeal," they said. "Vibrant, bold and colourful imagery sits comfortably with well-written teasers for the content inside. The inside news pages are imaginatively designed using graphics, interesting effects, angles, images and coloured panels to draw the reader’s eye."
The judges also liked the editorial copy: "The content is written in a strong journalistic style with short, punchy sentences and a good use of quotes to add life. Longer articles are presented in accessible and digestible chunks... so this busy audience can dip in and out at leisure."
